Last Saturday evening, I had the pleasure of DJing for the wedding of Ben & Holly at Rhos-on-Sea Cricket Club.
It was a smallish wedding, but the guests certainly made up for it! With a varied taste of music in the room we worked through the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Rock, Pop, Dance, Chart and essentially any other genre you can think of.
I supplied my middle range sound system (Without subwoofers as the room acoustics didn’t need them) along with moving heads and ADJ Stinger 2’s, which were positioned on 2 T-Bars either side of my DJ Booth.
Also – as a little goodwill gesture I also supplied 5 LED Uplighters, all set to the colour scheme of the bridesmaids dresses and balloons. 3 of which were positioned along the wall behind my DJ Booth, the other 2 where placed against the walls near the buffet.
These uplighters created a lovely atmosphere to start the night off. As the dance floor started to get busy, I then switched the 3 static coloured uplighters behind me to flash varying colours to match the mood of the room.
I also used a Laptop to dmx control all of the lighting, including to provide a first dance spotlight and a spotlight on the cake for the cutting.
As with most weddings, there were a fair few children there. I always feel like it’s my job to keep them entertained during the beginning of the night, especially when the adults are sitting down for food. I played a few party classics and chart songs to get them dancing while the adults relaxed a little.
Overall it was a fantastic evening and congratulations once again to Ben & Holly also thank you for choosing me to DJ for your Wedding!
